As a New Orleans native, I just wanted to let you know that your recipe for a muffaletta (Culinary SOS, Jan. 2) contained an inaccuracy. A muffaletta is served not on French bread but on Italian bread. The dense texture of the Italian bread and the sesame seeds on top are integral ingredients to the muffaletta’s unique taste.
