With its provocative second album, this big-hearted Silver Lake band reveals a penchant for fuzzy country, hummable space-pop and experimental noise chatter. A stately version of Bikini Kill’s tomboy ode “Rebel Girl” is hard to ignore, but it’s the demented “Southern Fried” and the esoteric yet radio-ready “Tin Man’s Cue” that signify this fringe band’s potential to haul many more dislocated fans into its camp.
