From Times Wire Reports

A white South African farmer and his black employee were convicted of murder in the town of Phalaborwa for attacking a black former worker and throwing him to lions at a private game reserve.

Mark Scott-Crossley and Simon Mathebula were found guilty in the January 2004 slaying of Nelson Chisale. Workers said Scott-Crossley, 37, ordered the killing, which he denied.

Chisale, 41, was attacked when he returned to collect some belongings. The judge said evidence showed that he was alive when he was fed to the lions.
