New York Rangers President Glen Sather has made a change to his personal roster, selling his contemporary-style home in La Quinta, Calif., for $2.3 million.

Built in 1998, the desert compound sits behind a gated drive and features lake and mountain views.

Within the 4,750 square feet of open-plan space is a living room with a stacked-stone wall fireplace, a step-up dining room, a wet bar, a center-island kitchen and four en suite bedrooms. There’s also a detached guest casita with a private entrance.

There are three fireplaces.

A patio, a fire pit and a lagoon-style swimming pool and spa with a $250,000 waterfall feature fill more than half an acre of the grounds.

The desert estate came to market a year and a half ago for $2.7 million and was more recently listed for sale at $2.45 million.

Sather, 72, has been with the Rangers organization since 2000. He previously spent more than a decade as the head coach of the Edmonton Oilers, leading the NHL franchise to four Stanley Cup titles.
