Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kenta Maeda has a found a new home field on the Westside, buying a New England-inspired traditional in Santa Monica for $3.795 million.

The two-story home, built this year, has an East Coast vibe with light gray siding, crisp white trim and a slate-colored roof. Broad pillars lined in white wainscoting flank the two-car garage.

Inside, nearly 5,000 square feet of white-walled space includes a great room with a fireplace that opens to a chef’s kitchen. Pocket glass doors off the kitchen slide to reveal an office/den. A formal dining room, a wine room and a loft/bonus room are among the other common rooms.

The master suite features a sitting room, a fireplace and a private balcony. There are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in all.

A swimming pool and spa, outdoor fireplace, built-in barbecue, lawns and drought tolerant landscaping fill the grounds.

The house came to market in February and sold for the asking price, records show.

Ron Wynn of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Mark Handler of Rodeo Realty represented the buyer.

Maeda, 28, signed an incentive-based contract with the Dodgers in January that guaranteed him $25 million and could be worth more than $100 million over eight seasons. The Japanese pitching star went 16-11 with an earned run average of 3.48 in his first season with the team.
