Nick Lachey may have sold his home in Encino earlier this month, but he’s not straying too far. The former boy band frontman and his wife, television host and actress Vanessa Minnillo, have paid $4.15 million for a larger estate in the area, The Times has confirmed.

Sitting on about four acres in the hills, the estate was formerly owned by late singer-songwriter Jenni Rivera. The property came up for sale a year ago for $4.19 million and was more recently listed at $4.175 million, records show.

Rivera, who died in a 2012 plane crash at age 43, bought the house in 2008 for $3.3 million.

The French Normandy-inspired home, built in 1999, is fronted by a large stone motor court and a fountain. Pronounced gables, brickwork and an arched entry lend a classic look to the exterior.

The 9,785 square feet of interior space features a two-story foyer flanked by decorative wrought-iron staircases. The ironwork continues in the living room, which has a wall of windows, a fireplace and a Juliet balcony. A formal dining room and a wet bar sit off the living room.

Elsewhere, a chef’s kitchen has a large center island and a butler’s pantry. There are two master suites for a total of seven bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

Various patios, fountains, a swimming pool and spa, lawns and formal landscaping fill the grounds. Views take in the city, mountains and surrounding treetops.

Sebastian Wolski and Jason Perez of Nest Seekers were the listing agents. Farrah Aldjufrie of the Agency repped the buyers.

Lachey, 42, rose to fame as a member of the pop band 98 Degrees and later released four albums as a solo artist. As an actor, he has appeared on the series “Charmed” and “One Tree Hill.”

Minnillo, 35, previously served as a host on MTV’s “Total Request Live” and CBS’ “Entertainment Tonight.” Her other television credits include the sitcoms “Dads” and “Truth Be Told.”
