The early childhood home of socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton has come on the market in Bel-Air for $7.25 million.

The stately Traditional, built in 1931, was owned by family patriarch Rick Hilton, a grandson of hotelier Conrad Hilton, from 1980 until the early 1990s. Hilton sold the property in 1993 and moved the family to another Bel-Air home, which he purchased from actress Jaclyn Smith, according to an archived story in the Los Angeles Times.

The two-story house sits on about half an acre and is fronted by a brick motor court. Slender columns, a two-story portico and dormer windows lend to the home’s timeless appearance. Black shutters play off crisp white siding to create visual interest.

The 7,314 square feet of living space includes a formal entry, scaled living and dining rooms, a chef’s kitchen, and upper and lower offices. A lower-level lounge holds a family room with a lodge-style fireplace, a second kitchen and a wine room.

The master suite, one of five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms, has another fireplace plus a sitting area and a wet bar. A balcony off the master suite takes in a view of Century City.

Outdoors, tall privacy hedges provide cover for a saline swimming pool and spa. A separate pool house currently holds a home gym.

The house last changed hands in 2004 for about $2.86 million, records show.

Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and Laurence Young of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties hold the listing.
