A 7,846-square-foot estate in Studio City has sold for $7.6 million, making it among the priciest single-family home sales historically in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood.

The modern showplace, designed by architect Armen Kazanchy and built by developer Edgar Zalyan, sits at the end of a private driveway and has a large motor court. The 1.3-acre site atop a promontory takes in 300-degree views of the surrounding area.

The polished two-story, with clean lines and wood-paneled accents, has open-space living and dining rooms, a family room, a separate lounge/bar area and a temperature-controlled wine cellar. A modern kitchen sits off the living room and is topped by a modern light fixture.

A total of six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms includes a master suite with a spa-like bath and walk-in closet.

Glass pocket doors off the main floor slide to reveal grounds containing two patios, a swimming pool and spa, and three fire pits. A two-car garage sits off the main floor.

The property came to market in January for $8.5 million. In March, based on 40 transactions, the median sale price in Studio City was $1.11 million, according to CoreLogic.

Roger Perry of Rodeo Realty was the listing agent. Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage repped the buyer.
