Hate having to recharge your smartphone every few hours? Then consider buying the Droid Maxx, a new Motorola smartphone that can go without a charge for nearly two full days.

Verizon announced the Droid Maxx, along with two other new Motorola Droid smartphones, on Tuesday. The New Jersey carrier claims the 5-inch screen Droid Maxx has the longest lasting battery life of any smartphone that can connect to 4G LTE cellular networks.

The Droid Maxx is the successor to last year’s Droid RAZR Maxx HD, which had a battery life of almost 32 hours.

But the new Motorola smartphone’s battery life isn’t its only impressive feature.

It, as well the Droid Mini and Droid Ultra, can be controlled mostly using voice commands. Users can simply say “OK Google Now” and they’ll be able to give their device numerous commands without using their hands.

“These Touchless Controls and Active Display let users make calls, send texts, get directions, play music, set a reminder and preview notifications hands-free without having to unlock the phone, giving Droid users a whole new way of interacting with their phones,” Verizon said in a statement.

One of the most useful commands is “OK Google Now, call my Droid.” That’s gets the new Verizon-exclusive smartphones to start ringing, helping users locate the phone that might have fallen under the couch.

The new Droid phones are available for pre-order now online.

The Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra, which is thinner than the iPhone 5, will go on sale in stores on Aug. 20 for $299.99 and $199.99, respectively, with two-year contracts. The Droid Mini will be available Aug. 29 for $99.99 with a two-year contract.
