Now that the Google Barge has left the San Francisco Bay and set sail for less choppy waters, Silicon Valley needs another good mystery. And thanks to the city of San Jose, we’ve got one!

On Wednesday, the city of San Jose gave swift approval to a gargantuan 10-building complex to be built in the northern part of the city along U.S. Highway 101, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

It’s 2 million square feet of office-cubicle goodness, just a short drive from the city’s airport.

And because it will be able to fit up to 10,000 workers, whoever is going to occupy this baby will become the city’s second largest employer, behind Cisco Systems, says the Mercury News.

So, who is the tenant?

Whoever it is has big plans for Silicon Valley. With 10,000 employees, it’s not too far behind the 14,000 souls who will be occupying the Apple Campus 2 in Cupertino. And the Mercury News says the new San Jose project is double the size of Facebook’s offices in Menlo Park.

The firm building this bad boy is Palo Alto-based Peery Arrillaga. And it’s not saying until it’s good and ready!

And what about you, San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed?

“I haven’t told anybody,” Reed told the Mercury News. “I’m going to keep it a secret.”

Sweet! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

So, all you amateur sleuths, grab your deerstalkers and magnifying glasses and start hunting for those clues!
