The cast of “Star Trek Beyond” gathered on the bridge of the Enterprise for a video to promote their new charity venture, confirming rumors that Idris Elba has joined the cast of Justin Lin’s upcoming film.

If charity or love for “Star Trek” isn’t enough of a reason to watch the video, watch it to see Elba break dance and the entire bridge transform into a flickering late-night lounge. Beam me up indeed.

The video features Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho appealing to fans for a chance to win a walk-on role in the next “Star Trek” film as part of a contest to support their “Star Trek: To Boldy Go” initiative.

In addition to the grand prize is an opportunity for six additional winners to visit the set to meet the cast and watch some scenes being filmed.

“You might even get to meet some brand new characters,” says Pegg, who also co-wrote the film.

Then Elba joins the cast on the bridge, in shorts, no less.

“Idris, glad you could join us,” says Pine.

While there are no official details on whom Elba will be playing in “Star Trek Beyond,” we can only hope that there will be more villainous dancing in his future.
