Snooki wants a normal life for son Lorenzo

Say what you will about Snooki, but the hard-partying “Jersey Shore” star has taken quite a turn since having her baby boy, Lorenzo.

Snooki, the pint-sized star whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, appeared on the “Today” show Wednesday for her first live interview since having her baby with fiance Jionni LaValle. The couple sat down with Savannah Guthrie to discuss her transformation and shift in priorities since wrapping up the final season of the MTV reality series.

“It’s crazy because, you know me, I just always wanted to have a good time,” Snooki said. “‘Where’s the next party? What am I going to do tonight?’ And now it’s just like, ‘I love my baby, what can we do with him?’ It’s just totally different.”

QUIZ: Test your ‘Jersey Shore’ vocabulary

Apparently, this is the same girl who brought heels and makeup to the delivery room. But she’s happy to retire from the Shore to focus on her family.

“I mean I definitely partied for like three people my entire life,” she said. “I feel like now, you know, I have a family, I have a baby now and this is just like a new chapter in my life and I love it. I’m just so excited.”

The wacky reality starlet appeared calm and levelheaded during the interview, seated on the couch with LaValle and gushing over her bundle of joy. Not a drink or harebrained scheme in sight.

But the limelight isn’t totally gone. Snooki and “Jersey Shore” bestie Jenni “JWOWW” Farley will appear in the series’ spinoff “Snooki & JWOWW,” which is returning to MTV for a second season premiering Jan. 8, and surely will showcase her baby boy.

“Right now, it’s fine while he’s this young,” LaValle said. “But once school starts, I think when he gets a little older, I kind of want him to branch off from that. Nicole could do what she has to do. But maybe with him growing up, I kind of just want him to just live a normal lifestyle.”

Added Snooki: “We want him to have a normal life where he goes to school, he has friends, girlfriends. I want him to have those learning experiences that we did growing up so I want it to be as normal as possible.”

“Normal” is arguably one of the least-used adjectives to describe Snooki at the peak of her popularity, and Polizzi knows Enzo already takes after her.

“He just always craves attention and I feel like that’s me,” she said of her nearly 2-month-old son.

“I try to make him look good — he likes to be in sweats and I like to put him in nice outfits, polos. So, you know, he has to look good.”

And that could be why they’re all dressing up as comic book heroes for Halloween.

“I’m going to be Wonder Woman, he’s [LaValle’s] going to be Captain America and Lorenzo’s going to be Superman.”
