More than 3 million people on five continents saw the British rock group’s Xylo Myloto tour in 2011-12. It was the fourth-highest-grossing tour of 2012 globally, according to Pollstar, the concert industry tracking publication, taking in more than $171 million.

Ticket presales begin Friday for CitiCard holders through the company’s Private Pass Program. General ticket sales begin Feb. 5 at Live Nation’s website.

“ ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ was written to be played live,” Coldplay songwriter and lead singer Chris Martin said in a statement, referring to the band’s latest album. “We are beyond excited to play these shows in the U.S.”
