“Chicago Fire” tried to pump a little heat into Lady Gaga’s latest album, “ARTPOP,” which has struggled since debuting in early November.

Tuesday’s episode featured a snippet of “Do What U Want” during a scene when one of the firefighters is listening to a mixtape.

The appearance of the song may not have been a coincidence. One of the show’s stars is Taylor Kinney, who is dating the performer. The two have been an item since 2011 when Kinney appeared in Gaga’s video for her song, “You & I.”

Although it debuted at No. 1, “ARTPOP” is already being classified as a major disappointment following the huge success of her “The Fame” and “Born This Way” albums.

[For the record, 3 p.m. PST Dec. 11: A previous version of this post said the episdoe aired Thursday. It aired Tuesday.]
