All right, Kickstarter supporters, it’s time to check out exactly what your $5.7 million got you with the online premiere of the “Veronica Mars” feature film trailer.

Super fans got a taste at San Diego’s Comic-Con International last July, but this new trailer for the film, which opens March 14 in select theaters, showcases a lot more of the mystery that everyone’s favorite former high school sleuth is called in to solve.

The beloved cult series, which ran on UPN and the CW for three seasons, was resurrected earlier this year when series creator Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell launched a Kickstarter to generate funds to garner studio interest in a big-screen revival.

The Kickstarter was wildly successful, and the film got shot. As Thomas told fans at the show’s Comic-Con panel in July, he hopes it will be the first of many “Veronica Mars” movies.

“I want to be a Bond franchise,” he said.

It’s been almost nine years since “Veronica Mars” ended, and Veronica is no longer in high school. But to give the characters a reason to congregate again once more, the film involves Veronica going back to her hometown of Neptune, Calif., for a high school reunion.

Thomas also told fans at the time that he’s sold two “Veronica Mars” novels, which will pick up at the film’s conclusion.
