‘Mezcal at Dusk’: On Wednesday, the Chase Foundation will be hosting its “Mezcal at Dusk” charity event at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. Fausto Zapata of El Silencio will be debuting a new mezcal for tasting while Ricardo Zarate cooks dinner and Duff Goldman prepares dessert. Tickets are $1,000 per person and very limited. All proceeds from the event go to the Chase Foundation. Purchase tickets online. www.chasefoundation.org.Guest dinner series at Bar Marmont: Bar Marmont executive chef Carolynn Spence is collaborating with guest chefs for a series of dinners to take place at the restaurant, starting at the end of the month. The first installment of the dinner series features chef Gabriel Rucker of Le Pigeon in Portland, Ore. On May 30 and 31, Spence and Rucker will prepare a three-course menu featuring dishes crafted with ingredients from the farmers market, Beverly Hills Cheese Shop, Lindy & Grundy and more. Taco night at Jar: The taco party returns to the bar at Jar for one night only, starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. [UPDATED: The story originally said Thursday night]. The taco menu, to be accompanied by spicy watermelon and blackberry margaritas, will include red chili tacos with guajillo pepper sauce; grilled market fish tacos with roasted corn salsa, mango and habanero; duck tacos with tamarind, Maui gold pineapple and pickled onion; and Suzanne Tracht’s special tacos.
