Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men who held up an In-N-Out in La Mirada shortly after the business closed for the night.

Just before 2 a.m. Thursday, two men wearing ski masks and carrying handguns knocked on the front doors of the restaurant in the 14000 block of Firestone Boulevard. A customer who was still inside the restaurant and knew one of the In-N-Out workers let the men in, authorities said.

The two robbers immediately took over the restaurant and threatened the eight workers and customer inside, deputies said. The men went for the money in the cash registers, but they had already been emptied for the night so they stole everyone’s cellphones instead, authorities said.

Some of the phones were later found a short distance away. No one was injured and the robbers are still at large.
