Only three arrests were made at West Hollywood’s 27th annual Halloween Carnaval, a massive street festival that drew tens of thousands of revelers, authorities said Sunday.

All three arrests were for public intoxication, said Sgt. S. Hewitt of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. No major injuries were reported.

Organizers said they were expecting as many as half a million people to attend the festival, which officially began at 6 p.m. Saturday and ended around midnight. Revelers flooded the streets and packed the area’s sidewalks, bars and cafes.

Sheriff’s officials described the crowd as peaceful.

West Hollywood live-streamed the event from Santa Monica Boulevard.
