Officer fired for pressing his knee on George Floyd’s neck is charged with murder

Protesters set the Minneapolis police state on fire, demanding justice for the death of George Floyd after four police officers stopped Floyd in an encounter captured on video. The video showed officer Derek Chauvin pressing his knee into Floyd’s neck as Floyd repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe.” Floyd died in custody soon after the incident. Chauvin was fired and has been arrested on murder charges.
