Established in 1973 by Alvin Wills, a number of Lakers (past and present) have participated through the years including Bryant, Byron Scott, Michael Cooper, Trevor Ariza, Nick Young and Metta World Peace.

Bryant scored 45 points in a Drew League game in August 2011.

Bryant wasn’t able to participate this summer, still working his way back from surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

He still caused a stir when he arrived at King-Drew Magnet High School in Los Angeles.
