The Lakers start the 2013-14 season on Oct. 29, at home against the Clippers.

Tickets for the team’s 41 home games will go on sale to the public on Sept. 7.

The club announced the ticket sales via Twitter on Friday.

Tickets go on-sale to the public through Ticketmaster on 9/7/13. Get more details here: https://t.co/v1kUxV4pRf— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) August 30, 2013

Tickets can already be obtained through the Lakers’ official secondary market.

The Lakers are hoping to improve upon last year’s 45-37 season.

The loss of center Dwight Howard, who left as a free agent to join the Houston Rockets, might make that difficult.

The Lakers were snake-bitten by injuries but still rallied to make the playoffs. If the team can get and stay healthy, 45 wins is a reasonable goal.

Of course. Kobe Bryant has to prove that he’s over his Achilles injury.

Pau Gasol is also still recovering from procedures on his knees. Steve Nash is the closest to form after struggling with hip, hamstring and back problems -- following a broken leg in the second game of the season.

After parting ways with Metta World Peace, Antawn Jamison and Howard, the Lakers have added Chris Kaman, Jordan Farmar, Nick Young, Wesley Johnson, Elias Harris and second-round pick Ryan Kelly (who has yet to sign).
