Notre Dame’s 22-13 victory over USC on Saturday night brought clarity to a crazy college football season and made Sunday’s polls as simple as filling out a ballot.

Notre Dame (12-0) was a clear-cut No. 1 in the major polls, with Alabama and Georgia taking the second and third spots.

The battle for the No. 2 position will be solved next weekend in Atlanta when Alabama and Georgia face each other for the Southeastern Conference championship game.
