Huntington Dog Beach goes to the corgis on Saturday

Imagine furry fox-faced dogs churning their short legs through sand and surf, tongues wagging — and tails, for those that have them.

Stop by Huntington Dog Beach on Saturday and that’s what you’ll see as So Cal Corgi Nation presents its fall Corgi Beach Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You might know corgis as the Welsh herding dogs preferred by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II.

If you’re planning to take your own Pembroke or Cardigan variety to the festivities or just visit to see what all the barking’s about, here’s what you can expect:

• All day: CelebreCorgs of Instagram photo booth, benefiting Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue

• 11 a.m.: Corgi talent contest and best “momo,” or “corgi butt,” contest

• Noon: Halloween costume contest for corgis or corgis and humans

• 1 p.m.: Corgi limbo contest

• 1:45 p.m.: Corgi Bubble Spectacular, where corgis can frolic in a sea of bubbles

There also will be a raffle with a grand prize of a year’s supply of pet food.

Huntington Dog Beach is at 100 Goldenwest St.
