Want to get away from it all? You’ll have three opportunities to do it in a big way next January when three separate cruise lines begin their world cruises from the Port of Los Angeles.

Most of these long-term cruises, which generally run more than 100 days, depart from Florida. But next year, Californians who prefer to sailing to flying will be able to hop down to the local port in San Pedro for trips that will make their way to most of the world’s continents.

Princess Cruises announced its 111-day cruise in late May. Others departing from Los Angeles in January 2018 are Regent Seven Seas and Crystal Serenity.

The Pacific Princess will depart San Pedro on Jan. 22, visiting 44 ports before returning to California on May 14. Stops will include Honolulu, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, India, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Greece, Rome and several more ports in Europe before crossing the Atlantic and stopping in Florida, then sailing through the Panama Canal to Mexico and finally back to Los Angeles.

Prices start at $19,999 per person, double occupancy, for an inside cabin; balcony cabins start at $25,998.

Regent Seven Seas will spend time sailing in South American waters during its 137-night cruise, which leaves Los Angeles on Jan. 8 and returns May 25. Its itinerary includes Honolulu, French Polynesia, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Seychelles Islands, Argentina, Brazil, several port stops in the Caribbean and Mexico before returning to Los Angeles.

Crystal Serenity will depart San Pedro on Jan. 23 on a 112-day voyage that will conclude in Rome on May 15. The itinerary includes Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Oman, the Suez Canal, Israel and European ports, including Rome.

Inside cabins start at $43,960 per person, with a concierge suite starting at $73,999 per person, double occupancy. Several categories are wait-listed, but the concierge suite is open.
