National park photo ops: Here’s what to do with a canyon view

In Utah's Canyonlands National Park, look for framing devices (like gnarled trees) to impose order on your composition. It doesn't hurt to include features like Candlestick Tower, either.

Canyonlands National Park lives up to its name with views that seem to stretch forever. Try using framing devices like trees and branches to highlight features like the Candlestick Tower.

Though this this photo was taken in late morning, the best times of day are sunrise and sunset.
