Veteran basketball coach George Karl, who was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Sacramento Kings this year, has sold his home in Sacramento for $910,000.

Karl was given a four-year deal with the Kings in February 2015 and bought the remodeled two-story in the Arden Park neighborhood that summer for $870,000. Following his firing, the property came up for sale three months ago with an asking price of $945,000.

Built in 1950 and renovated a year ago, the 3,180-square-foot house features subdued hues, modern fixtures and light hardwood floors. A tiled backsplash creates visual interest in the eat-in kitchen, which opens to a formal living room with a wall fireplace.

Other living areas include a family room, an office nook, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master suite has a separate sitting area, a walk-in closet and a frosted-glass door that opens to the grounds.

Outdoors, there’s a swimming pool with a baja shelf and a waterfall feature. Lawns, landscaping and a patio fill the remaining quarter acre.

Kim Pacini-Hauch of RE/MAX Gold Sierra Oaks was the listing agent. Lindsay Martin of Redfin represented the buyer.

Karl, 65, is the fifth most-winning coach in NBA history, having passed former Lakers coach Phil Jackson on the all-time list last year. He had previously coached the Seattle SuperSonics and the Denver Nuggets, winning league coach of the year honors with the latter in 2013.
