By Friday afternoon, Fallon resurfaced on Twitter to share a photo of his heavily bandaged hand and fill in followers about what went down.

“Tripped and caught my fall (good thing)! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing),” the 40-year-old tweeted, adding “#drugged #blessed”

Fallon said he’s “doing well” and thanked his fans for their “good wishes.”

Messages on the talk show’s official Twitter account said that the network would be airing a repeat on Friday night and those with tickets to Friday’s show would be contacted with rescheduling information.

Friday’s slated guests included actors Benicio Del Toro, Taylor Kitsch and comedians Penn & Teller.

The cancellation came as reports surfaced about Fallon’s hospitalization, claiming that he suffered the injury after a night on the town following Thursday’s taping, which featured “Ted 2” star Mark Wahlberg and “Glee” alum Chris Colfer.

TMZ reported that the “Saturday Night Live” alum was out to dinner at Scalinatella, where he posed for photos with fans and left the eatery around 9 p.m. The injury occurred Thursday morning, his rep told the site.
